iPad i musikkundervising: Kreativitet og meining i praksis.

Abstract

Norsk: iPad er i dag nytta i musikkundervising av mange pedagogar, på ulike måtar og alderstrinn. Denne masteravhandlinga har som mål å finne ut noko om dei ulike applikasjonane og metodane som er nytta i musikkundervising, korleis pedagogar grunngjev vala sine, og kva tankar dei har om teknologien og dei læringsprosessane den kan setje i gang. Det teoretiske bakteppet er henta frå områdene didaktikk, kreativitet, teknologi, samt noko om dataspel, og er i seg sjølv ei samling av tidlegare idéar vi kan nytte oss av i utforminga av undervisingsopplegg med iPad. Datamaterialet er samla inn ved intervju av fire informantar frå ulike delar av skulesystemet og musikkmiljøet, samt observasjon av éin av dei intervjua informantane. Alle informantane hadde difor ulike perspektiv på bruk av iPad til musikkpedagogiske føremål, som samla gjev eit oversyn over noko av det som bør vurderast i undervising med iPad. Dataa er presenterte, tematiserte og kategoriserte for å få fram både praktiske døme og underliggande vurderingar og haldningar. Resultata syner at informantane er svært medvitne til korleis dei nytter både teknologi og instruksjon i undervising med iPad, både når det gjeld utnytting av dei teknologiske moglegheitene, klasseromsleiing, læring og kreativitet.

English: Today, the iPad is used in music education by many teachers in different ways and with children of different ages. This thesis sets out to discover information on the diverse applications and methods used in music education, what reasons teachers provide for their choices, and their thoughts on the technology and the learning processes it can establish. The theoretical framework is put together from mainly didactics, creativity and technology, but also some from video games, and is in and of itself a collection of previous ideas we can apply in the development of educational activities with the iPad. The data is collected from interviews of four informants from different parts of the school and music society, in addition to observation of one of the interviewed informants. All the informants provided distinctive perspectives on the application of the iPad to music education, which in sum gives a spectrum of things to take into account when teaching with the iPad. The data are presented in both a thematic and categorical fashion, with intent to emphasize both practical examples and underlying decicions and attitudes. The results imply that the informants are aware and considerate of how they apply both technology and instruction in their teaching, related to themes such as utilizing the possibilities of technology, class management, learning and creativity.
