English: Traditionally the Norwegian accounting law has been based on a relatively modest statutary law element. The rest was “filled inn” by good practice. Thus, the statutary part had the character of an implicit conceptual framework. Without altering this fundamental approach, the Norwegian accounting law underwent a more or less total restructuring in the 1990s. In an interesting and authoritative manner, the new accounting law is commented in work by Atle Johnsen and Erlend Kvaal. This note is based on their comments, in taking in account the more recent reworking and restructuring of the law.
