dc.description.abstractBuilding bridges brings two separated points into contact with each other. Bridges facilitate communication and cooperation. The Consumer Citizenship Network1 conference for 2007 dealt with bridge building in two contexts: stakeholder involvement and transdisciplinary cooperation. The conference examined what caracterizes stakeholder involvement and how it can contribute to stimulating sustainable development. It analyzed some of the challenges to the process of bridging the gaps between educational and professional disciplines. In a concrete effort to bridge gaps, the CCN joined joined with the Comenius E-cons network for the first part of the conference. 221 persons from 33 countries attended.en
