Hjem-skole samarbeid i namibiske skoler.

Abstract

Norsk: Denne bacheloroppgaven tar for seg hjem-skole samarbeid ved tre ulike namibiske skoler; en fattig, en relativt velstående og en velstående skole. Forskningen er basert på observasjon og intervju av ansatte ved disse skolene, samt foresatte, og skiller mellom hjemmets og skolens syn/ vurdering av samarbeidet. Funnene blir så analysert med støtte i vestlig teori rundt emnet. For å forstå situasjonen på best mulig måte, vil også Namibia som land og dets utdanningshistorie bli presentert.

English: This Bachelor thesis sheds light on the situation of home-school collaboration in three different Namibian schools; one poor, one semi-wealthy and one wealthy school. The research is based on observations and interviews conducted amongst the school staff and parents, and differentiates between the views on, and evaluation of the collaboration by the two parties. The findings are then analysed with the support of western theories concerning the subject. To best understand the situation, the country of Namibia and its history of education will also be presented.
