Små barns forhandlinger gjennom lek i barnehagen.

Abstract

Norsk: Denne bacheloroppgaven handler om hvordan barnehagepersonalet kan forholde seg til de yngste barnas forhandlinger om hvem som er innenfor og utenfor i leken. Jeg har valgt å begrense aldersgruppen til 2-3 åringer. Når skal personalet gripe inn og hvis de først velger å gripe inn – hva skal de gjøre? I tillegg ønsker jeg også å forske på hvordan personalet kan stimulere 2-3åringenes forhandlingskompetanse for å gjøre barna til gode forhandlere. For å undersøke hva personalet i en barnehage gjør i slike situasjoner har jeg dratt ut i barnehagefeltet for å gjøre et observasjonsarbeid. Datamaterialet er bearbeidet og fremstilles som praksisfortellinger. Disse praksisfortellingene blir senere analysert og drøftet i lys av valgt teorigrunnlag. Observasjonene mine viste at de voksne hadde en tendens til å gripe inn tidlig i barns forhandlinger når et barn ikke fikk være med i leken og tok parti med barnet som ble utestengt.

English: This bachelor thesis focuses on how the kindergarten staff can relate to young children’s negotiations about who’s included and excluded in children’s play. I have chosen to focus on 2-3-year-old children. When should the staff intervene? If the staff choose to intervene – what should they do? Additionally, I want to research how the staff can stimulate the children’s negotiation skills to make them negotiate in a good way. I have been visiting a kindergarten to observe what the staff do in this kind of situations. The data collections from my observations are processed and transcribed into short stories (in Norwegian called “praksisfortellinger”). The stories are analyzed and will be discussed together with my chosen theory foundation. My observations showed a staff who tended to intervene early in young children’s negotiations. The staff also tried to help excluded childs into the game.
