Abstract
Norsk:
English:
This assignment addresses the issue of How does the teacher organize and handle the cooperation with parents who do not live together? with three subordinated research questions. The purpose of this paper is to enlighten how a small selection of teachers handle this cooperation as seen in the light of theory and research.
The theoretical part first introduce theory about the child’s network and environment. Then relevant theory and research about the subject of school-home is introduced with current theory within the cooperation with parents who live separately.
The broad experience the informants have about this issue is shown clearly in the research findings. They organize conversations about the development of the pupil and work to maintain good communication with both parents. It turns out that there is no knowledge among the informants of either plans nor strategies about dealing with splitting of a family, and the teacher organizes and acts out from what each individual situation requires.
