English: The main theme for my thesis is digital library guidance in Zoom. The Corona pandemic abruptly created the need for finding a new platform for librarians' guidance with students, and with this change as a background. I will study the interaction between student and librarian, and what steps are taken to make students self-reliant. Video recordings of library guides performed in Zoom were selected as the data source. More specifically, it consists of video recordings of selected students and librarians. The thesis is therefore a qualitative and empirical study, more precisely an interactional sociolinguistic analysis that uses concepts from conversational analysis by means of conversation analytical concepts. As a theoretical backdrop, I have emphasized interactional analysis (Gumperz, 2003) and pedagogical models (Dysthe, 2006). The interactional approach thus becomes an alternation between different actions in the conversation data. In interactions between library and student in digital library guidance, it is examined whether we follow the principle of self-help with these research questions: 1. How the librarian works to make students self-reliant? 2. How are digital resources used to achieve self-help? The first looks at the librarians' role in the span between asymmetry and symmetry and the dissemination of knowledge that takes place in the guide. The second concerns the librarians' use of the digitalization of this relatively new form of library guidance.en_US
