Lærarens kommunikasjon med jenter i kroppsøving Ein kvalitativ studie om kroppsøvingslærarens kommunikasjon ovanfor jenter i kroppsøving ved vidaregåande skule

Abstract

Hensikta med denne masterstudien er å forske på lærarens kommunikasjon ovanfor jenter i den vidaregåande skulen. Det blir undersøkt korleis læraren utøver og jobbar med dette gjennom undervisning.

Dei to teoretiske rammeverka for studien er Aristoteles sin kommunikasjonsteori og Goffman sin rolleteori. Desse med relevant innhald der det i kommunikasjonsteorien er omgrep som synspunkt og bevismidlar. Mens omgrep som teaterførestilling, sjølvmotsigande rollar og kommunikasjon i strid med rolla er relevant opp mot rolleteorien.

Det er nytta ein kvalitativ studie med fire kroppsøvingslærar. Innanfor den kvalitative metoden er det nytta ikkje-deltakande observasjon og semistrukturert intervju. Datamaterialet ifrå observasjon vert analysert gjennom ei deskriptiv analyse, medan datamaterialet ifrå intervjuet vert analysert gjennom ein tematisk analysemodell.

Studien viser at lærarens forståing av kommunikasjon har mykje å seie for korleis læraren vidare gjennomfører det i undervisning. I tillegg til at ulike metodar for å utføre gode kommunikative handlingar er svært relevant. Metode er også noko som lærarane ikkje tenkjer så mykje over i praksis.

Det blir påpeika at både det verbale og det non-verbale språket er sentrale og at kroppsspråket innanfor det non-verbale er noko som alle har ein eller annan form for kjennskap til.

Gjennom studien kjem det fram at lærarens kommunikasjon ovafor jenter har utvikla seg. Det har skjedd ei endring i forhald til den tidlegare forskinga, nye læreplanar og lærarens kunnskap og erfaring. Lærarane er svært oppteke av at kroppsøving er for alle og det skal tilpassast alle gjennom ein eller annan form for kommunikasjon.

The purpose of this master's study is to research the teacher's communication with girls in the secondary school. It is examined how the teacher exercises and works with this through teaching.

The two theoretical frameworks for the study are Aristotle's communication theory and Goffman's role theory. These with relevant content where, in communication theory, it is understood as point of view and means of evidence. While terms such as theater performances, contradictory roles and communication contrary to the role are relevant against the role theory.

A qualitative study with four physical education teachers is useful. Within the qualitative method, non-participant observation and semi-structured interviews are used. The data from observation is analyzed through a descriptive analysis, while the data from the interview is analyzed through a thematic analysis model.

The study shows that the teacher's understanding of communication has a lot to say about how the teacher further implements it in teaching. In addition to the fact that different methods for performing good communicative actions are very relevant. Method is also something that teachers do not think much about in practice.

It is pointed out that both the verbal and the non-verbal language are central and that the body language within the non-verbal is something that everyone has some form of familiarity with.

Through the study it emerges that the teacher's communication with girls has developed. There has been a change in relation to the previous research, new curricula and the teacher's knowledge and experience. The teachers are very concerned that physical education is for everyone and that it must be adapted to everyone through some form of communication.
