Barns musikalske bakgrunn og forståelse – en undersøkelse av musikalsk aktørskap i småskolen.

Abstract

Norsk: I denne oppgaven er det blitt utført en undersøkelse for å svare på hva barn i barneskolealder tenker om musikk og hvordan de bruker det. Arbeidet med oppgaven har bestått av å intervjue barneskoleelever, for så å belyse deres besvarelse med aktuell teori. Det viktigste funnet omhandler hvorvidt de faktisk forstår hva de mener om musikk. De fleste informantene kunne si at musikk var bra og fint, men når man først kom litt under hva de både brukte musikk til og hva de faktisk forsto av musikken ble mitt inntrykk at de forsto veldig mye, både at de var bevisst på mye av sin kunnskap, men også ubevisst på mye av den kunnskapen de faktisk satt inne med.

English: In this Bachelor thesis, a survey has been conducted to answer what children in primary school think of music and how they use it. The work on the assignment has consisted of interviewing primary school children, so as to illuminate their answers with current theory. The most important finding deals with whether they actually understand what they mean about music. Most of the informants could say that music was good and fine, but when I came to understand what they used music to and what they actually understood, it became my impression that they understood very much, both because they were proven much of their knowledge, but also unconvinced of much of the knowledge they had inside.
