PP – rådgiverens rolle i PPT

Abstract

Denne masteroppgaven er skrevet innenfor studieretningen spesialpedagogikk med fokus på rådgivning. Oppgavens tema retter fokuset mot PP - rådgiver sin rolle i PPT, og hva deres rolle innebærer, samt deres opplevelser og beskrivelser av arbeidsoppgaver i lys av det beste for eleven og elevstemmen. Med ny opplæringslov under utvikling stilles det høyere krav til å alltid tenke på det beste for eleven, særlig i forbindelse med de som arbeider med elever i skolesammenheng.

I forbindelse med at det tidligere har blitt satt søkelys på den pedagogisk psykologiske tjenesten og hvordan PP-rådgiverne kan jobbe mer systemrettet, kan dette oppleves som utfordrende i en hektisk hverdag for PP-rådgiverne. Formålet med oppgaven er å undersøke rollen til PP-rådgiveren i Pedagogisk-psykologisk tjeneste (PPT), og deres beskrivelser og opplevelser av sine arbeidsoppgaver. Oppgaven er basert på en kvalitativ metode, og dataene ble samlet inn ved hjelp av semi-strukturerte intervjuer med tre PP-rådgivere. Analysemetoden som ble brukt var en tematisk analyse. Med utgangspunkt i dette dreier følgende problemstilling seg om: Hva innebærer rollen til PP -rådgiver i PPT?

Resultatene viser at PP-rådgiveren har en sentral rolle i PPT, der deres beskrivelser og opplevelser av arbeidsoppgaver og egen rolle er å bidra til at det beste for elevens, i lys av elevstemmen blir ivaretatt. PP-rådgiveren er en sentral aktør i samarbeidet mellom skole, hjem og i andre instanser, og arbeider med å forebygge, avdekke og håndtere ulike vansker og utfordringer knyttet til læring, utvikling og atferd. Masteroppgaven viser at PP-rådgiverens rolle innebærer å gi veiledning og støtte til både elever, lærere og foreldre, og at PP-rådgiveren jobber med å utvikle tiltak og støtte elever med spesielle behov. Videre viser resultatene at PP-rådgiveren spiller en viktig rolle i å utvikle og drive systematisk kvalitetsarbeid i PPT. Oppgaven søker å belyse forståelsen for rollen til PP-rådgiveren i PPT, og forsøker å få frem at dette er en rolle med varierende arbeidsoppgaver som krever gode ferdigheter og kompetanse. Resultatene kan være nyttige for både PPT og for andre som har en interesse for feltet.

This master's thesis has been written within the field of study special education with a focus on counselling. The assignment's theme directs the focus towards PP - adviser's role in PPT, and what their role entails, as well as their experiences and descriptions of work tasks in the light of what is best for the student and the student voice. With the new Education Act under development, there are higher requirements to always think of the best for the student, especially in connection with those who work with students in a school context.

In connection with the fact that a spotlight has previously been placed on the educational psychological service and how the PP advisers can work more system-oriented, this can be experienced as challenging in a hectic everyday life for the PP advisers. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the role of the PP advisor in Pedagogical-psychological service (PPT), and their descriptions and experiences of their work tasks. The assignment is based on a qualitative method, and the data was collected using semi-structured interviews with three PP advisers. The analysis method used was a thematic analysis. Based on this, the following issue revolves around: What does the role of PP advisor in PPT entail?

The results show that the PP advisor has a central role in PPT, where their descriptions and experiences of work tasks and their own role is to contribute to ensuring that the best for the student, in light of the student voice, is taken care of. The PP advisor is a central player in the collaboration between school, home and other agencies, and works to prevent, uncover and deal with various difficulties and challenges related to learning, development and behaviour. The Master's thesis shows that the PP adviser's role involves providing guidance and support to both pupils, teachers and parents, and that the PP adviser works to develop measures and support pupils with special needs. Furthermore, the results show that the PP adviser plays an important role in developing and conducting systematic quality work in PPT. The assignment seeks to shed light on the understanding of the role of the PP advisor in PPT, and tries to show that this is a role with varying tasks that require good skills and competence. The results can be useful for both PPT and for others who have an interest in the field.
