Ugraset i norskfaget – Ei undersøking av nynorsk som sidemål i utvalde læreverk for ungdomsskulen

Abstract

Sammendrag: Nynorsk, og den sin plass i skulen er eit emne som blir diskutert. Med det som bakteppe ser denne oppgåva på omfanget av nynorsk i to læreverk i norskfaget for ungdomsskulen der bokmål er hovudmålet. Ho gjer òg ei undersøking av utvalde oppgåver i dei to læreverka. Ein ser i oppgåva er at nynorsk er eit sidemål i ordet si i rette meining. Det er gjort utrekningar som viser at nynorskdelen i dei læreverka som er undersøkt ligg på 1/7 – 1/8 av det totale innhaldet i dei. Oppgåvene som er analysert i oppgåva viser at typen oppgåver i stor grad er klassiske for sidemålsundervisninga, men at ein finn nokre oppgåver som tenkjer nytt. Oppgåva oppsummerar med at den ønskjer seg ei undervisning i sidemål som i større grad legg opp til bruk oppgåver som krev at elevane må reflektere rundt det dei arbeider med, og at det må blåsast nytt liv i sidemålsundervisninga ved at ein tenkjer nytt rundt den.

Summary: New Norwegian language is a subject of discussion. Does it have a rightful place in today’s school? This is the background for this thesis. The thesis does a study of two textbooks where it looks at the scope of New Norwegian language in these textbooks. It does a study of chosen tasks in the textbooks as well. In the thesis it is done calculations showing that only 1/7 – 1/8 of the textbooks contains texts written in New Norwegian language. The studied tasks shows that the kind of tasks given to the pupils are typical for the subject, but there are a few tasks that might bring in some new thinking on how this subject should be taught. The thesis says in its conclusion that the future for the subject is in tasks that forces the pupils the reflect in their work with it, and that the subject need to be revived.
