Towards the Business Federation in Tourism Firms : TTRA (European Chapter) in Dublin, september 1999
Abstract
Due to more turbulent market environments in the end of the 90’s, there seems to be a need for new ways of
organising tourism firms. In the article I explain why new organisational models are of importance. Thereafter
I introduce the business federation as a possible model to use as it seeks to be able to highlight business
paradoxes in a good way. In order to operations the business federation I introduce certain building blocks.
In the end of the paper I explain how it is possible to use the building blocks in tourism firms.
