De yngste barnas medvirkning ved måltider i barnehagen

Abstract

Norsk:Tema for denne bacheloroppgaven er de yngste barnas medvirkning i rutinesituasjoner i barnehagen. Oppgaven tar for seg hvilke forståelse barnehagelærere har for ettåringers muligheter for medvirkning under måltider. Barns rett til medvirkning er lovfestet gjennom FNs barnekonvensjon, barnehageloven og rammeplan, og teori fra Berit Bae er denne oppgavens grunnlag for hva denne medvirkningen betyr i et relasjonelt perspektiv. Gjennom kvalitativt intervju, viser funnene at den praktiske gjennomføringen av de yngste barnas medvirkning omtales som utfordrende i møtet med deres faglige forståelse. Funnene viser også at ettåringenes kroppslige kommunikasjon står i fare for å bli oversett i den travle barnehagehverdagen.

English: The topic for this bachelor assignment is the youngest children’s participation in routine situations in childcare centre. This assignment takes into account what kind of understandings kindergarten teachers have for the one-year olds opportunities for participation during meals. Children’s right to participate is statutory by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Kindergarten Act and the Framework Plan, and the theory from Berit Bae is the basis for this task for what this participation means in a relational perspective. Through qualitative interviews, the findings show that the practical implementation of the youngest children's participation is referred to as challenging in the face of their academic understanding. The findings also show that the nonverbal communication of one-year-olds is at risk of being overlooked during hectic days in the childcare centres.
