Tverrfaglighet i LK20 og hos Salaby 1. - 2. trinn

Abstract

I denne masteroppgaven har formålet vært å se nærmere på tverrfaglighet i skolen. I Kunnskapsløftet 2020 kom de tre tverrfaglige temaene; bærekraftig utvikling, folkehelse og livsmestring, og demokrati og medborgerskap. Denne studien tar utgangspunkt i det tverrfaglige temaet folkehelse og livsmestring, og ser på hvordan Læreplanverket for Kunnskapsløftet 2020 (LK20) og det digitale læringsuniverset Salaby ivaretar tverrfagligheten rundt dette temaet for 1. til 2. trinn. LK20 og det digitale læringsuniverset Salaby har blitt målt opp mot teorier om ulike tverrfaglige tilnærminger/nivåer og tverrfaglige arbeidsmetoder.

Det har blitt gjennomført en kvalitativ tematisk tekstanalyse til innholdet i LK20 og Salaby. Denne analysen har forsøkt å svare på problemstillingen:

På hvilke måter ivaretas tverrfaglighet i LK20 og i Salaby sine temasider for 1. – 2. trinn, med utgangspunkt i det tverrfaglige temaet folkehelse og livsmestring?

Resultatene ved denne analysen viste at tverrfaglighet hos LK20 og Salaby kan bli ivaretatt på ulike nivåer. Hvilket nivå tverrfagligheten blir ivaretatt på avhenger av lærernes kunnskap og kompetanse om tverrfaglighet, slik at de setter seg inn i andre fagområder enn sitt eget og samarbeider med disse fagområdene for å skape et helhetlig bilde på kunnskap. LK20 ivaretar tverrfaglighet ved at kompetansemålene etter 2. trinn tilknyttet folkehelse og livsmestring kan knyttes sammen i aktuelle områder for dette tverrfaglige temaet. Da kompetansemålene knyttes sammen knyttes også kunnskapen til elevene sammen, og gir dem muligheten til å se den større sammenhengen. Dette er formålet med tverrfaglig arbeidsmetode. Salaby ivaretar tverrfaglighet ved at deres tre temasider tilknyttet folkehelse og livsmestring inkluderer kompetansemål fra ulike fag, benytter varierte arbeidsoppgaver som kan skape god tverrfaglig undervisning, samt benytter seg av virkelighetsnære temaer. I tverrfaglig arbeidsmetode er et viktig punkt å variere undervisningen. Innholdet og arbeidsoppgavene inne på Salaby er en ressurs for den tverrfaglige undervisningen, ved at her får elevene mulighet til variert undervisning ved å leke, reflektere, beskrive og stille spørsmål. Denne muligheten er avgjørende for elevenes faglige og sosiale utvikling.

In this master's thesis, the purpose is to take a closer look at interdisciplinarity in schools. In the Norwegian curriculum from 2020, three interdisciplinary themes were introduced: sustainable development, public health and life skills, and democracy and citizenship. This study focuses on the interdisciplinary theme of public health and life skills and looks at how the Norwegian curriculum 2020 (LK20) and the digital learning universe Salaby take care of interdisciplinarity around this theme for 1st to 2nd grade. LK20 and the digital learning universe Salaby were measured against theories of different interdisciplinary approaches or levels, and interdisciplinary working methods.

A qualitative thematic text analysis was conducted on the content of LK20 and Salaby. This analysis attempted to answer the research question:

In what ways is interdisciplinarity taken care of in LK20 and in Salaby's theme pages for grades 1st – 2nd, based on the interdisciplinary theme of public health and life skills?

The results of this analysis showed that interdisciplinarity in LK20 and Salaby can be ensured at different levels. The level of interdisciplinarity depends on the teachers' knowledge and competence about interdisciplinarity, so that they familiarize themselves with other subject areas than their own and collaborate with these subject areas to create a holistic picture of knowledge. LK20 takes care of interdisciplinarity by linking the competence aims after 2nd grade related to public health and life skills in relevant areas. According to the theory on interdisciplinary when the competence goals are linked together, the students' knowledge is also linked together, giving them the opportunity to see the bigger picture. This is the purpose of the interdisciplinary working method. Salaby takes care of interdisciplinarity by including competence aims from different subjects in their three theme pages related to public health and life skills, using varied tasks that can create good interdisciplinary teaching, and using realistic themes. Research shows that in interdisciplinary working methods it is important to vary the teaching. The content and tasks within Salaby are a resource for interdisciplinary teaching, as here the students get the opportunity for varied teaching by playing, reflecting, describing and asking questions. This opportunity is crucial for the students' academic and social development.
