De eldste barnas utelek i barnehagen.

Abstract

Norsk: Temaet for min bacheloroppgave er «De eldste barnas utelek i barnehagen». Uteleken ses som en viktig del av den norske barnehagekulturen, og i min oppgave har jeg søkt å finne hvilke kvaliteter denne leken gir barna. Gjennom problemstillingen «Hvordan vektlegger de ansatte betydningen av utetiden i barnehagen?» ser jeg nærmere på personalets forståelse av egen rolle, og hvilke pedagogiske muligheter uteleken gir. Som barnehagelærer må man også reflektere over hvordan barns medvirkning ivaretas. Mine funn i denne rapporten er basert på kvalitativ datainnhenting gjennom intervju av fire ansatte i en barnehage. Formål med oppgaven er at jeg som barnehagelærer skal lære å nyttiggjøre og utvikle uteleken som en viktig pedagogisk arena, der barns medvirkning ivaretas. Undersøkelsen viser at ansatte vektlegger utetiden som en viktig pedagogisk arena, og bekrefter at uteleken står sterkt i den norske kulturen.

English: The subject of this bachelor thesis is ”The oldest Children’s outdoor playing in the kindergarten”. The activity of playing outside is an important part of the culture in Norwegian kindergartens. In this thesis I seek to find which qualities this gives to the children. The scope of this paper is to answer the following question: ”How do the employees emphasize the impact of outside playing in the kindergarten?”. This paper tries to examine the employees’ understanding of their own role, and also which educational possibilities outdoor playing gives. A kindergarten teacher also needs to reflect on how to ensure the children’s influence on the play itself. The conclusions in this paper are based on quantitative data collected through face-to-face surveys with four kindergarten employees. The purpose of this paper is to bring to attention how to utilize outdoor playing as an educational platform and to ensure children’s involvement. Key findings from the study indicate that employees emphasize the time dedicated to outdoor playing is an important educational platform and also confirm its strong position in the Norwegian culture.
